Hello We are Frank & Kathy Austin Personal Caregivers for Margaret Gaughan (Grandmother) Whom in 1995 had a massive stroke and is unable to care for herself As you may know takeing care of someone like that is a full time job, Kathy my wife (bless her hart) does most of the work. It all starts about 5:30 in the morning she gets Grandma up and washes her down,Gets he dressed and puts her into her wheelchair, and when it's a nice day thay go out back for coffee & breakfast, After that thay go back into grandmas bedroom and change Grandmas dipper and make her bed, Then thay go back outside and do Grandmas exersizes, ( moveing her arms, legs & feet. takes about a hour, Then thay gointo the house and watch tv or a moveie, changeing grandma at least once per hour, In between tv and such Kathy cleans up the house Our son (Joshua) helps a little he does the yardwork and dishes, ( If we get on him) And I frank Do odd jobs to try to get some extra monney. |
How Do We Servive? You are probaly wondering how we get by financhaly. Well its very hard IHHS ( Inland Health services) Pays Kathy for 5.27 Hrs a day.And I have taken up Building and upgradeing computers. Not much but we get by.. | ||||||||||||||||
